Sareeraya Villas & Suites ★★★★★

*We visited for a week over New Year so peak season* The location is ideal if you want to be close to the action, not in it. You can walk along the beach, towards Chaweng, in the evening and stop off at one of the many bars / restaurants to catch a fire show, grab a drink, eat, etc. The property is situated on a quieter part of Chaweng beach which is kept clean by the property staff. You’re a couple of footsteps from the calm sea which is fine for swimming but also have a decent size pool with loungers available at both locations. The bar staff will wait on you so need to move, if that’s your objective. The inclusive breakfast is basic (as mentioned in many of the reviews) however I found it more than adequate. They have a small buffet with a Thai offering (stir fry, rice or noodles), bacon, baked beans, sausage, etc. with an array of bakery goods. There is also a live cooking station doing eggs, noodle soup, pancakes and waffle’s. We had suite 101 with pool access. The pool is shared by a couple of the other ground floor suites but is set out in such a way so as to give you plenty of privacy. The room is a great size with a quality bathroom (shower was awesome) and sliding doors opening up on to a nice covered deck which also got plenty of sun and the private pool access.

The restaurant is very quiet of an evening which I believe is down, in some part, to the overpriced menu. The food isn’t great and the options are fairly limited in comparison to elsewhere. We ate there once because we were too tired to go out and it wasn’t great. Otherwise, I don’t have anything negative to say about the stay.

In a 5 star resort you expect at least one competent person at every station, the english skills of the reception were below par and so was there general knowledge .

This hotel has it all. Great facilities, friendly staff and good food. Location very good. Highly recommended.

I liked that its a small property and walking to the room, pool and beach only takes a couple minutes. Rooms with water access were lovely and very spacious. Beach was fantastic.

The suites are lovely, extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Beautifully set on the quieter side of Chaweng beach with a gorgeous infinity pool.

Very close to a busy main road so can be very noisy.

The pool area was absolutely beautiful, right on the beach. Great restaurants/beach bars nearby and even a pool bar at the hotel. This beach was definitely one of the most beautiful on the island - 100% recommend. The rooms were also massive. Definitely recommend the swim up room, made our experience even nicer.

I really enjoyed my stay it was a perfect romantic interlude the breakfast buffet was ok and would be better if available later or available in the room without such a silly mark up. I had a pool access room which was perfect for what I wanted the hotel is not very big but very cozy and the staff were very polite and friendly;. I would consider my self as a seasoned traveler in thailand and have visited over 30 times in the last 20 years mainly staying in 5 star resorts and I would say this was one of the better ones and a romantic dinner and walk down the beach was refreshingly cool and perfect for a couple in love .....overall a fantastic break and so much so I felt I had to write a review which I dont really bother doing normally , Samui is a beautiful Island and if your in love then there is no better place,

We loved our stay. It was perfect. We got there early and they let us check in to our room. Which was amazing for us with a baby. It was so quiet, clean and the rooms were amazing. So large. We wished we could have stayed longer.

What a resort, ultimate luxury, the food is amazing, rooms immaculate, stunning resort with excellent location. Very short walk from centre and beautiful setting. Staff nearly fall over you they were amazing!

On arrival we were charged a different price to what we booked on booking.com Although the hotel staff were helpful in trying to sort this they couldn’t and wouldn’t amend the price - I believe the issue is with booking.com but it would have been helpful and a lot less stressful if they could amend the price themselves rather than us have to try contact booking.com for almost an hour.

Privacy of our Suite. Well appointed room with all amenities. View from balcony exceptional. Chef and his staff really impressed most of all. Rooms were cleaned while we were away and caused no inconvenience or disturbance. Loved the "small" touches, e.g. umbrella, slippers, straw hats in the room for each guest. Staff did everything to ensure we delighted in every minute of our stay. Grounds and garden were kept in an immaculate state. Beach area in front of the hotel was kept clean and swept daily. Thank you Sareeraya!

The music from the pool bar was annoying. The kitchen staff were noisy (loud talking at times, then also the noise from the dishes and cutlery).

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room took my breath away, I had a ground floor room with access to the pool. The staff were always friend and very attentive. The security guard at the beach always made sure I had a fresh towel and kept an extra eye out on my belongings so I could swim (travelling solo). The breakfast was delicious, I can highly recommend the banana pancakes. Very please with my time here. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Koh Samui. Great value for money.

they need to pay more attention to keep the beach cleaned, not only early in the morning after the high tide but also during the day.

From A to Z all was amazing. The location is great, as you can find restaurants, bars, massage places in walking distance, if you don’t want to use the hotel’s facilities.

There was nothing we could dislike. It’s a perfect place to relax.
